In the exceptional situation due to the COVID-19 virus from itcons.app and for installations that use the signature module for the purpose of signature, there are two types of touchscreens: capacitive (any current smartphone) and resistive (the first smartphones). We are going to focus on the capacitive ones, as they are the currently widespread.
In the current Covid-19 alarm situation there are many users who use the signature function for a customer signature purpose. For these cases it is important to be careful with the contact through the terminal. These are the general tips we give from itcons.app.
- Clean the screen regularly with disinfectant liquid.
- If possible, the work report should be completed using a rubber-based stylus pen.
There are several recommendations regarding the signing process.
- In this state of alarm, requiring a signature if strictly necessary, a job can be validated in other ways, for example by adding an image with a handwritten text with the customer's agreement or by the customer replying with an agreement to the automatic mail that can be sent to him after the signature (from the operator himself).
- If the client has his own stylus, the idea is to sign using it.
- Disposable stylus can be assembled with cotton swabs, silver foil and a little water (be careful with the processing of these stylus, it must be done with disinfected gloves and in a clean, virus-free environment).
- If necessary, a "square" of silver paper can be used as a base for signing.
