What is a part model?

Since version 3.0 of theItcons work reports application, within the web manager you have an option called "Create Models" where as the word itself indicates, you can create different models of work report that you need in the company. These models are not a template and are not closed to a few options, you can create the models you need with all the data you need, that is 100% configurable. Although, before creating a model you must be clear about several things:

• Who is going to fill out these report templates: It can be the operator, the site manager, the person in charge of the installation or maintenance, etc. This decision is important, since it is on this basis that we will structure the work report, whether the hours, for example, are charged to the operator who is filling in the report from the smartphone or whether he is the one who fills in the report for the others.
• Structure of the report template: After deciding who will fill out the reports, the next step is to ask yourself what data you want to appear in your digital work report . It is possible that until now you are working your paper reports in a certain way and from the organization you decide that in the new reports or delivery notes more or less information will appear. Therefore, before creating a new model you should decide what data you want to collect; hours, materials, kilometers, allowances, personnel, machinery, tasks... and where each data is going to go; header, lines or footer of the part.
• Data types: At this point, you have to decide for each data what type of data it is going to be, whether text, numeric, list of options, time... And in case of being of calculated type, what calculation is going to be performed addition, subtraction, multiplication... and what result you want with the data whether it is a price, a calculation of hours, etc.
