What it is. #
It is a field of the form hh:mm that allows you to select the required time, in 24h format. It can be used to record a time during the work day, the time a job starts or ends, etc.
How to set it up in the part model editor. #
Select the Data Type* Time from the drop-down list. You can define a default value, i.e. a time that always appears when adding this data to the report. This can be modified by scrolling up or down or by scrolling up and down.
It is also possible to indicate that it is sufficient to record the time in 15-minute intervals.
The mandatory and visible PDF boxes serve to ensure that a report cannot be sent without completing this information and, as with other types of data, you can also configure whether you want it to be visible in the PDF.
You can also indicate that you want to record the location when filling in the time value (this setting is incompatible with the default value setting).
This type of data, like any data that has to do with numbers (except dates), can be used to make calculations. In this case, the calculation with hours would be done in decimal format.
How it looks in the APP #
Once you have configured the time type data in the model, you can complete the work report with time information. In this case, the example is about the entry time.
How to display timestamps on a time axis #
In order for the model query to display time records organized on a time axis, the time axis view must be activated. To do this:
- Go to the model listing from the web application and access the view configuration by clicking on the gear located at the top of the table in the right corner.
- Activate the “show time axis” option
